Add a Watermark in Photoshop CS6

There are many ways to add a watermark in Photoshop, but now with Photoshop CS6 is easier than ever.
With the new recording tool, that allows you to record not only an action as previous versions of Photoshop, but also record the tool itself.

Mixer Brush in Photoshop

Photoshop Cs5 has many new features and in my opinion one of the least discussed is the new Mixer Brush Tool.

I understand that at first impression it may be difficult to use them, but they are very easy to use.

And because its a very cool and easy tool to use and a friend asked me, I’ve done this tutorial where I explain all those settings and give you a few tips while using this very cool tool.

I hope you like it.

Take care,

Improve your Snow Photos

Shooting snow is not a easy as it looks, well, you can shoot, but it doens’t mean it will look right.
In this days is very easy to get the right exposure with so advanced metering modes, however sometimes you just want to ignore for creative purposes or to shoot sand and snow.I’ll explain.

When metering to shoot a photo with snow or sand, the metter gives you the reading, you adjust the settings in your camera and then you shoot, well it looks great on the back of the camera, but when you get to your computer you look at the photos and the white snow it’s not pure white.

So in those circunstances I advise to over expose on the camera by just about 1 stop to give you the white snow.

But however you just saw the photos on your computer and you want an easy fix.

That is where I come along , and make a tutorial to show you how to get the snow to look right and also to sharp the photo.

PS:The snow on the photo I was using for this tutorial was perfect, however I’ve adjusted in Camera Raw to give that hint of blue so I could create the tutorial.(Just in case you start saying that I can’t shoot snow.
I hope you like it.

Channels in Photoshop

Let’a talk about channels.
Channels is the most important thing in a photo, don’t believe me?

OK, fine!

Photoshop only sees grayscale images that together they create a colour photo, so…
You have a RGB photo, on wich has 4 channels, the Red, Green and the Blue, that together create the RGB channel, so we can see al the colours in a photo.See?No channels, no photo.smiley

Very cool stuff!
But there is more, so check out my videosmiley and you will see what I mean.

I hope you like.

Slices in Photoshop

We all love slices, there is slices of cakes, cheese etc, so why not slice in Photoshop?!

Well, it’s not the same thing, but once you start using the slice tool in photshop I am sure that you will love it.
The slice tool is very handy when you design a website and you want to save the entire page that you just created, it’s very simple and it will make your workflow much faster.

but you will see what I mean in the next video.

I hope you like it!
